The coworker By: Freida McFadden

Dear Readers,

This book took me by surprise to say the least. The twist at the end of the book will have you conflicted as well as wondering how and when things became as crazy as they did. It was insane how you thought it was one girl's fault and turns out that they are both crazy.

I couldn’t have guessed that Natalie actually had driven Dawn’s best friend to her death when they were younger. I feel like it was a bit petty to have Natalie arrested for something that had happened 13 years prior. Not only that they pretty much killed one girl to use her body to frame Natalie with instead of Dawn killing herself because she didn’t want to die.

She enjoyed seeing the horror that played out on Natalie’s face as she was getting ready to get arrested for her “crimes” even though she was very much confused as to what she was actually being accused of or so it seems. Come to find out Natalie was actually embezzling money out of the company, but Dawn found out what she had been doing behind closed doors. She was certainly ready to through her under the bus more than once.

Then turns out that Dawn was alive the whole time so her dying and getting kidnapped was just a plot to get Natalie to pay for what she did to her friend. She went to the point of almost drowning herself so that way Natalie would actually have to spend the rest of her life in prison.

Overall, they both realized that it was for the best to stay in each other’s good graces because they are both an enemy that they can’t keep out of each other’s line of sight. They learned that the hard way when they had to come almost clean to the police when “they found” Dawn disoriented trying to make it back home.

This was a great book though I am definitely getting the rest of the books by this author she is on my top 5 favorite thriller writers. Happy Reading
