City of Ashes By: Cassandra Clare

 Dear Readers,

I gave the first book of this series a go and I loved the plot as well as the action everything happening. Even though I am not the biggest fan of reading incest in my books. The first book is a great read, but this book they certainly made it all about the love that the main character and her brother have for each other that is certainly not sibling love.

The main character also found out that she can create runes in her dreams as well as make them on paper. When she told everyone what she could do everyone assumed that she was bluffing until they witness her draw them as well as tried them out to see if they actually worked or not. They certainly did work when Alex almost came out as gay to his parents not only that who he was into and dating.

It is mentioned that Jace wants more than just a sister and brother relationship. He wants to her one and only even after the found out that not only do they have the same father, but they also share the same mother as well. He doesn’t care or want anyone’s advice on the matter he just wants his feelings returned. He for sure has told his sister more than once that he wishes that he wasn’t her brother.

Things didn’t get any better after they somewhat dealt with the threat that their father had caused everyone else. He doesn’t know that she and her boyfriend broke up because he felt like he need something else right now as well as giving her time to figure out what it is that she wants and if she wants to be with him or if her feelings for her brother are stronger than the ones that she has for him. So currently he is giving her the necessary space for her to figure out what is that she really wants.

Like I mentioned in my last post I don’t recommend these because they aren’t something that I usually read or that I am into, but I am not judging for those who are into this series. Happy Reading!
